You’ve really captured the magic.
4ad releases use to be something special – something to look forward and to treasure. I too will use these as i-tunes art.

+1 for eduardo. I feel that the new-model 4AD, while nothing like the Ivo days, has at least produced some interesting music in the last couple of years. But the art is at best adequate and at worst truly awful.

I love your reinterpretations, and they really help to underscore the impact of good design.

it’s such a shame that 4AD has decided not to put the care, time, and effort those old pacjagings by v23 / 23 envelope used to have.
I recently read an ivo interview and in it he talks about the passion they had for creating something beautiful.

some of the new covers, especially anni rossi, stornoway, ‘logos’ by atlas sound and most (non vaughan oliver) TVOTR are just hideous.

*I took the liberty of using your st vincent and tindersticks versions for my itunes.

i like these.. not too different than the originals, yet there is a “revamped” feel to the them. I took the liberty of using these as covers on my iPod

Slumdog is a very good film, great to see stuff that is different, and all so real. A very good watch for any movie fan.
